The FCA staff consists of four, and lots of fabulous volunteers. Our Director/Administrator leads the team, sets the course and wears many hats. She directly reports to the Board of Directors. The Assistant Director reports to the Director, wears just as many hats, and is the liaison to the art community. Supplemental Staff keeps the building clean, paints all the banners and knows all the secrets! Graphic design staff manages the website and does our posters, flyers and more.
Board Members are volunteers - and we're always looking for new candidates. The FCA Board of Directors consists of no less than 7 and no more than 10 members.
Duties: Adhere to the Mission of Fremont Center for the Arts, provide fiduciary oversight, establish policies and procedures, organize fundraising, and serve on at least one committee.
Terms: 2 years, and no more than 2 full terms. Our annual meeting is held in February; it is an open meeting, when elections of officers takes place.

Britt is the Manager of Colon Orchards, a third generation farm. She is an accomplished artist, graduating magna cum laude with a degree in the arts, emphasis on 3-D arts and Art History. You have probably seen some of her work on the wine label for The Winery at the Holy Cross (2x Winner). Her style of painting is straight from the tube, heavy application of pure color. She also a conventional potter and a sculptor. A former raft guide, you will often find Britt on the Arkansas River!
Hugh is a returning resident of Canon City who is employed in the mental health field with Anthem, Inc. He has been involved in the visual arts since childhood and completed a bachelor's degree in Studio Art at Illinois State University and a master's in Art Therapy Counseling at Southern Illinois University Edwardsville. Hugh received First Prize at the 2017 Blossom Art Show at the FCA and his work may be seen at Mid-Mod and More Furniture and Art in Denver.
Beki owns and operates Skeleton Key Pottery and has made valuable contributions to FCA for over the last six months by teaching our ceramics classes and hosting First Fridays. Beki already knows the ins and outs of FCA after teaching our popular ceramics classes and temporarily serving as assistant director.
Barry is from Durango, and currently lives in Canon City. He studied Art, Design, Woodworking, Stained Glass, and Sculpture at 360 Degrees. Barry was our very first Artist in Residence at FCA. He founded his own business, Dolan Studios. His stained glass can be seen in many local downtown establishments.
Bruce is a much-loved local elementary school teacher at Canon Exploratory Schools, and is great with kids. He is a world traveler, having made frequent visits to Thailand. He also assists his wife Naweeya in running her own business, Tiny Elephant, whose work you may recognize from FCA’s gift shop.
Carla is a real estate agent with Coming Home Realty and recently opened The Hive, a public workspace. She is on the CASA advisory board. She graduated from CSU & taught middle school at MVCK. She wants to help keep the arts alive and vibrant in her hometown.
Originally from Santa Maria California, Nick is a CCHS graduate and a talented local photographer. He owns & operates his own popular photography business, and is well known in our community for his senior portrait photos & wedding photography. You may even recognize some of his work from our website.
Robin is a former budget analyst at the University of Houston, an administration division supervisor at Colorado State Forest Service, and a math teacher at local Canon City schools. She currently works in real estate at Coldwell Banker Fremont Realty & is a cashier and manager at Pueblo Community College.
