For the 8th year in a row and in conjunction with the Federal Bureau of Prisons and the Creative Arts Platform (CAP), the Fremont Center for the Arts is proud to exhibit our latest prison art series, Art in Isolation: Creating Space. Each piece in this year's exhibit represents an artist's unique journey to carve out a mental, emotional, and sometimes even physical space for beauty and meaning within the structured environment of incarceration. Through their work, these artists invite us to consider the power of the human spirit to transcend adversity and find freedom in the act of making.
Call for Artists: Fremont Center for the Arts May Art Exhibit, "Season of Splendor"
Fremont Center for the Arts (FCA) is thrilled to announce a call for submissions for "Season of Splendor," our 77th Annual Blossom Art Exhibit—and the very first show at our new home!

April Student Art Exhibits
Fremont Center for the Arts is excited to present two upcoming student art exhibits that showcase the incredible talent of young artists from Canon City Schools and Florence Junior/Senior High School. These exhibits provide an opportunity for the community to celebrate and support the creativity of local students.
Permanent Collection Spotlight: Ed Adamic
Wishing a very happy birthday to Ed Adamic the “Artist of Prospect Heights”!
Adamic is a native to Canon City and is well-known for his various media landscape and subject paintings drawn from the world around him. His works are found in various venues throughout Colorado, the U.S., Europe, and Japan.
Permanent Collection Spotlight: Judy Weyenburg Watercolorist
We wanted to take this opportunity to highlight an incredible artist in our community, Judy Weyenburg!
Judy was our exhibit judge in September of 2024 and has been involved with FCA for quite some time!
The picture on the right was taken 39 years ago when her watercolor piece, “Anatazi Antiquities”, was added to the FCA Permanent Art Collection in 1985.
On the right, you see Judy standing with her artwork once again.
It is an honor to highlight the history and influence of our local artists here in Fremont County!
