Art For Life: A Creative Club for Teens

Instructor: Katie Lynn Sanders

Art For Life is a weekly creative experience designed just for teens who want to explore, experiment, and express themselves. Students will learn foundational art skills — and then learn how to break the rules with confidence. Each session introduces new techniques such as collage, palette knife painting, acrylic pens, watercolor, and mixed media.

This class is all about discovery. Students will play, take risks, build their own authentic style, and create artwork that feels uniquely theirs. Every week is different, and lessons can build on each other for ongoing growth.

Schedule: Every Friday starting May 8, running through July 31st, 10:00 am-12:00 pm

Tuition: $20/per session or $80/monthly. All materials are provided. (SIGN UP HERE BUTTON BELOW) Reservation required.

Class Size: Minimum 5 students / Max 12 students

Ages Accepted: 12 - 18 years old

My goal is to create a space that feels like an art club — a place where teens can learn, experiment, build confidence, and form friendships. I want this class to be accessible, affordable, and free from the idea that there are ‘right’ or ‘wrong’ ways to make art.”

Painting with Gouache for Children

Instructor: Eric Matranga

Discover the bold, luminous world of acrylic gouache in this dynamic, hands‑on workshop. Working on heavy black mixed‑media paper, participants will explore how this intense, water‑based pigment creates extraordinary contrast and “pop” through rich color application and layered detail.

The instructor provides all materials and guides the group through a complete small painting from start to finish. Because acrylic gouache dries to a waterproof surface within minutes, students will be able to build multiple layers, refine details, and experiment confidently without muddying their colors.

While you work, the instructor will also share insights into:

  • The history and development of gouache

  • Notable artists who used gouache in their practice

  • Recommendations for quality papers and materials ideal for gouache compositions

Throughout the session, the instructor offers individualized advice, answers technique questions, and supports each participant in successfully completing their demonstration piece.

This class is perfect for artists of all levels who want to experience the vibrancy, versatility, and expressive potential of acrylic gouache.

Schedule: Every Wednesday in May, 10:00 am - 12:00 pm

Tuition: $3/ per session (Please let us know if your child would like to attend and cannot afford the tuition; the artist has offered to waive the fee. Walk-ins welcome.

Class Size: Minimum 2 students / Max 15 students

Ages Accepted: 6 - 16 years old
